Hi, it seems to be quite hard to find stuff in sachets. Maybe you could try buying ordinary hot chocolate like http://www.divinechocolate.com/shop/...ing-chocolate/ which seems to be dairy-free and mix with powdered soy milk? Not quite instant then of course.
I don't drink hot drinks, so may be missing something obvious, but seems quite easy to find..?http://www.sainsburys.co.uk/groceries/index.jsp
Which one did you have in mind Jekyll?
I am not a great hot chocolate drinker either but I think the problem is that most drinking chocolate and cocoa is meant to be made up with hot milk - you could use soy milk or whatever but by the time you'd heated it in a saucepan etc it wouldn't be instant. The instant ones in sachets usually seem to have milk etc already in them.
Sorry, not very good with links! The Sainsburys own brand seems fine. But I think I understand the difference now, the instant ones have milk powder so you can just add hot water instead of hot milk? I'm sure on the rare occasions I've had it though, I've just put soya milk and the drinking chocolate in a mug and heated in the microwave? That's just as instant as boiling the kettle?
That's a good idea Let's hope Genequeen has a microwave and fridge available where she wants her drink.
As far as I can tell, a lot of the Whittards ones have stopped listing milk on the allergies of theirs, nor is it on the ingredients so I think they might be ok too...

I have the Green & Blacks Organic chocolate drink.
It does say "may contain milk and nuts ... " but that is probably because the factory manufactures some milk inclusive products.
Definitely, apart from the slight risk of cross contimantion (minimal, I hope!) all the ingredients are vegan.
Again, it is an add milk rather than add hot water type of instant product though.
All done in the best possible taste ...
Whittards actually say on their site if a product is vegan when you click on the ingredients: http://www.whittard.co.uk/hot_chocol..._chocolate.htm
Thanks for all your helpful replies. I think I will choose the Green & Blacks with soya milk in the microwave option - just being a bit lazy!
Where can I buy Whittards hot chocolate Firestorm, it sounds amazing!
I like Sandra, she keeps making me giggle. Daft little lady - Frosty
Its mostly available online (they have a few shops but none in Ireland), they have some in Debenhams sometimes though
Thanks Firestorm, I'll have a look in Debenhams and failing that I'll look online.

Hmm their Dreamtime Hot Chocolate says honey but suitable for vegans. Might ping off an email about that!

I went into Whittard at lunch, out of interest and their hot chocolates are 3 for 2! I resisted though...
I just bought some Whittard hot chocolate online, using promo code WELCOME gets free standard delivery on your first order
I got an email from them as well confirming that the Christmas Pudding hot chocolate is vegan, even though its not listed on the site
Thanks Firestorm! My mind is at rest

Thanks for all your helpful replies. Thanks also to Firestorm for the very helpful code - I just ordered the Whittards Caramel flavour and I can't wait to try it!
Thanks also for letting us know they are on 3for2 in shops. The Lime Chilli was lovely, Rocky Road was disappointing, didn't taste of much in my opinion. I also have caramel but haven't tried it yet. (I'm lazy so I make them with hot water not milk though, just a splash of milk to cool it down.)

I make my own. I get any low ingredient cacao powder (not always raw but at the moment I am using raw), my choice of sweetener and soy milk. Almond milk tends to taste really bad with this method.
