Fans of the vegan lunchbox blog http://veganlunchbox.blogspot.com/ will know of this cookbook. I ordered one when the author had them on "pre-sale." I haven't been able to use it yet, but I am anxious to try it out. Has anyone else used it yet?

No! But when I get to Australia I will get one there, I'm working up the courage for a laptop lunchbox too!
What's a laptop lunchbox??
Here is the link to laptop lunchboxes:

The author of Vegan Lunch Box uses the laptop lunch system for the majority of her meals. It is basiclly a plastic bento box with a carrying case.
the vegan lunch box book looks good veganeqsquire.
even though you havent used it yet, whats your opinion?
Ooh I really want to get this. Her blog is so cool. I hope it'll be sold locally soon :\
I just looked at this book an Amazon. It has 54 reviews and every single one is five stars very impressive. I'm ordering mine today.
I was looking at this the other day...I think it is so cool this woman now has a cookbook out and is fairly well know, just from doing a blog!
She had some recipes for free out on the site I was looking at. I wanted to check out the cheese sauce.
I so want to buy the vegan lunchbox book, but can't get it over here T_T
me neither. they don't even have it on amazon.co.uk.. it's bad. really bad.
go here http://www.laptoplunches.com/ !!
There's a link for a Denmark site, and a UK/Europe site that Pav might be able to use? It's selling the lunch boxes that are used in the blog, but they are also selling Jennifer's book!
thanks Jamie
they even accept paypal, just ordered my copy!
yay! Once I get a job, I'll be having a book AND a lunchbox!
*lol* I don't need a laptop lunchbox, I've got a nice selection of cute Japanese bento boxes already (which security people suspected to be weapons at various concerts/festivals )...
I was so excited that I forgot to update my address paying via Paypal...sent a mail afterwards and now hope the book doesn't get send to my mother's place
thanks. although, the danish site was really wierd, like a childrens garden store.. ? very odd. but i'll check out the european site.
YES. i'm so gonna wait 'till i get paid, so i can get a lunchbox, now i'm at it
I received my copy on Friday, haven't tried anything yet but it looks very good... and for the extra fast delivery!
I have the book and have made many recipes out of it and they are all great. The only problem with the book IMO is that the index is poorly laid out. The chapters are 3 or 4 different meals for the lunch box and so if I make something and remember that it has lentils in it I can't find it in the index because they are listed by their fun meal titles. That is my only qualm with the book but that in no way should deter anyone from gettting it or using it. I think it's great.

You're right, it's rather hard to find certain recipes...
I've tried a couple of recipes during the last weeks and they were all excellent- I'm in love with the potato salad (never liked that before). I made the triple chocolate cupcakes, the lentil-rice balls (but forget about what is written that it yields 6 servings...I ate them in a lot of variations for 5 days two times a day AND invited a friend!), the apple crisp, broccoli fennel soup... loved it all!

We have this and have used it a few times. We made the cup cakes for my DS's 1st birthday! They were a hit and so yummy!
I got a copy from the library and tried most of the recipes. Serving suggestions are for small children, not a 14 year old human vacuum cleaner .
I made the cornish pasties recipe for my son's school lunch the next day.... 1 was eaten straight out of the oven, 2 were eaten as they were cooling in the fridge and I am still not sure when the 4th one was devoured. I had to redo the recipe at 5am the next morning, just to make sure said vacuum cleaner had food for lunch
did they change the recipes in the new version?
I have the first print edition from 2007 and all of the recipes made loads!
Face it, though, no recipe ever invented is going to make quite enough for a hungry 14-year-old!
How right you are!
Said child is sitting across from me now at a vegan restaurant:
Appetizer: cheddar bacon fries
Entree #1: tuna melt sandwich
Entree #2: buffalo chicken wrap
Entree #3: taco salad
2 peanut butter & banana fruitshakes
Dessert #1: 6 chocolate chip cookies
Dessert #2: banana chocolate chip mini-cake
Snack for car: another batch of chocolate chip cookies and fruit shake #3.
This just 3 hours after lunch at school! I reckon in about 3 hours he'll ask me what's for dinner

We finally finished the chocolate muffins from this book, and they were delicious!
Only made a couple of bits from the book so far, but there is plenty in there to try in the future.
I like football. And potatoes.
New book coming out soon (clicky linky) - Vegan Lunch Box Around The World. Looks good! I must say, the gingerbread recipe in The Vegan Lunch Box is a massive hit around these parts! I make tons of the stuff and have been asked for the recipe by a few people
"You're right, Jackie. The Fonz could beat up Bruce Lee."
oh, I must get that one!
They were I wish Miss Frosty would pull her finger out and make some more She's thinking of giving some fudge a go, out of this book too.
