Pasta is easily replaced, such as with corn pasta or rice and millet. If you can only tolerate wholegrains then you'll need to go for the corn pasta - you can get it in sainsburys and it's 100% corn....
It's basically the same as the grain quinoa, but thickened up a bit to make it more mince-like. You can also buy quinoa chunks, for meals/sauces with more of a texture :)
If you're from the UK...
I'd be lost without my fridge. I keep my soya milk, most of my veggies, soya cheese, fruit, dairy free margerine and my hummus in there, to name a few.
But yeah if you don't really use one, it...

Hi Smiles, welcome to the forum :)
I use www.goodnessdirect.co.uk for a lot of my food shopping and toiletries. The downside is the delivery charges are quite high especially as if you want...
Brilliant thank you - I should be able to use it then!
Btw I'm getting a letter off to you very soon:)
Glad to hear your cake turned out semi-ok Emma!
What's actually in egg replacer, does anyone know? I'd like to try baking a few cakes from a candida recipe book that I'm following, but most of...
I have problems digesting onions and garlic both raw and cooked. I had some raw red onion with salad recently and I had awful stomach pain and gas for the next 24 hours:( Saying that I do have a...
I totally agree and that's the way I like to see it. I don't see the point of looking back and hating yourself for eating meat or anything else, becuse we all do things that at the time feel right. I...
Either rice cakes with hummus or pasta in a tomato sauce :)
I usually snack on rye crackers or rice cakes with hummus or sometimes pinto bean dip. I also like pumpkin and sunflower seeds. If I'm really hungry I'll have an extra bowl of cereal or some soup.
My weekly shop doesn't cost much at all especially as I can't tolerate any processed food so my diet has to be simple. I can't eat fruit at the moment either so I only buy fruit for my 5 year old. I...
Ooh thanks for that, I'll give tha a try and see if that helps:)
I heard that cooking with saturated oils such as coconut oil is better as they are more stable at higher temperatures? Does anyone know is this is correct? I don't really cook with oils much anyway...
I have loads of allergies and intolerances unfortunately :(
I'm allergic to cows milk protein and intolerant to lactose, but obviously that's not an issue anymore.
Whole lentils give me...
I'm very intolerant to sugar. I had a bit of a binge 2 weekends ago and came out in hives all over my skin, which still haven't faded. I have a candida problem which may well be to blame. I know I...
I don't hate meateaters, I just don't agree with what they're doing. Most of my family and my closest friends eat meat. I did too, up until a year ago. I think a lot meateaters are unconscious...
You might've already had the dairy intolerance but as you were eating foods containing dairy on a consistant basis in the past, your reaction would've been masked because your body would have to try...
I get severe hypoglycemia attacks where I feel totally desperate for something sweet. I also have ME/CFS and candida and I've heard it can be part of that in some cases. I'm trying to give up sugar...
I'm a little late into this thread, but I'm also a vegan parent. I have a 5 year old son and I give him vegan food, although he's not technically a vegan as he lives with his dad at weekends and he...
I'm also trying to follow a candida diet. I was worried that it might not be compatable with veganism as most books on candida seem to recommend lots of meat/fish and not much rice, pasta etc. But...
