^ mince pies? i haven't seen any Fairtrade ones locally.
unfortunately my local Co-op only has their boxed mince pies in stock which aren't vegan. at least i can get vegan ones elsewhere.
i saw a box of these in the freezer at my local store - bit...
i bought a bag of Co-op peppermint creams today, they're only labelled vegetarian because of a 'may contain milk' statement, but the ingredients are vegan. the chocolate and sugar are Fairtrade. :)...
which restaurants are these?! there are very few places i know of where you can get that kind of value for money.
i've never been to Eat & 2 Veg but it's always sad to hear of veggie places...
^ it's been mentioned somewhere on the forum before. Co-op have stopped labelling their bakery products as suitable for vegetarians and vegans because of a risk of cross-contamination. as far as i...

hello,
don't feel too bad - i'm sure many of us made these kind of mistakes when we were new to veganism too. on which site did you read about the dressing? the website may have been wrong or...

^ i did that when i wasn't vegan :p doesn't appeal to me now.
i buy the Waitrose garlic and tomato pizza bread which is about £3-ish and add my own toppings. Tesco do a similar one too.
^ i had a look at their online shop but they only had strawberry tarts which obviously had cream in them. it seems like a mistake to me...
i've been using that for a couple of years, but my local Holland & Barrett has just stopped stocking it. they also do (did?) a tikka masala sauce which is equally nice. i used to be...
i bought the frozen Indian snacks but i didn't think much of them - very bland and too much chilli. the frozen veg spring rolls are good though.
my Co-op always runs out of everything they have...
fresh coconut does seem to be naturally white, but when they process it into the chocolate bars i suppose it discolours slightly either by exposure to air or combining with chocolate particles...
have a look at this:
Yahoo Answers - Can you use a PS2 Guitar Hero controller with a PS3?
enjoy your Guitar Hero - it's great fun
i just put it in stir fries.
^ i've just tried the Mahalo bar and it's nice. it's similar to the Organica coconut bars we can get here, but it's a quite a bit sweeter because of the rice milk chocolate as opposed to dark...
i like braised tofu. :)
^ me too, but i still haven't been to their shop! it's in West Street i think.

i only ever ate commercial corned beef and it was indeed horrible.
i'd never heard of lox before so i had to look it up. i don't think i've ever eaten it.
that's useful, thanks Korn.
you must have a big freezer!
if anyone goes to the People Tree shop in Brighton before the end of November, you can get 20% off your purchases by quoting 'Treat me' at the till.
i've never found smoothies filling at all so i know that wouldn't work for me if i was hungry! :pissed:
glad to hear you're losing weight Hemlock  hope the raw winter veg don't make...
i was disappointed by the Maverick bar - supposed to be a vegan Crunchie. it's very bitter dark chocolate with tiny crunchy bits in it that don't taste of anything. :pissed: shame because the...
i tried the Twilight (Mars) and Buccaneer (Milky Way) bars, and i also like the Buccaneer best. still haven't got round to trying the Mahalo or the Maverick yet.
haha, my 'ladycogs' as you put it are already messed up no end! :rollseyes_ani:
Ecover no longer carrying the Vegan Society trademark
dietary sources don't seem to help, regardless of how much i try to eat. i don't get any side-effects from iron tablets as i've taken them in the past, i just have trouble remembering to take them...
off topic, but i find this unbelievably rude and wouldn't dare say something like that to anyone!
good luck Hemlock, i hope it works out for you. how did you get through the first few days...
i've had trouble keeping my iron levels up for quite a few years and recently had blood tests which showed my levels were normal, but on the low side.
thankfully my doctor didn't blame my being...

my chocolate bars from Veganstore have arrived! i bought one of each to try and so far i have had the Jokerz bar - vegan 'Snickers'.
it's quite good, the nougat and chocolate coating are lovely. ...
they've had one for a while, but it was notoriously full of mistakes... there was a discussion about it somewhere on here a while back. having had a quick skim of the link it looks like they've done...
i hope this kind of post is still allowed! :)
i've had my old soya milk maker sitting unused in its box for a couple of years now. i got fed up with the effort it took to make my own soya milk,...
