Oh, I don't know. Hmmm. Cream cheese? Something creamy, I would suspect, and fatty.
LOL :D - I will find something....
The final results taste MUCH better than the dough!
Ingredients:
3/4 cup Turbinado Sugar
1/2 cup vegan butter/margarine, softened
1/4 cup molasses
1/3 cup mashed banana
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/4 cup soy flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 1/2 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup carob chips
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Combine sugar, margarine and molasses, stir until completely mixed.
Add banana and vanilla - blend well.
Add soy flour, baking soda and cinnamon, stirring until smooth.
Stir in oats and carob chips.
Drop by rounded teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet and bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until dark golden brown (but not burned!)
Let cool on cookie sheet 1 minute, then remove.
New vegan here....
I miss pudding. Anyone got a recipe for a vegan pudding (can't figure out anything at all to make it work) or cinnamon rolls.
Any input is appreciated.
TIA

hi there
try having a search through the food/recipes section, you should find something you fancy making. it also contains some suggestions for various veggie/vegan websites for good recipes too.
welcome by the way! :)
mmmmm..i just found these - how many does this recipe make arti?
- er sorry just read the 5 dozen bit - wow thats loads :p
More like 2 or 3 dozen - it's been so long that I can't remember. I made these like two summers ago, it seems. It doesn't make 5; that's just what the recipe states.
My mums made these cookies for me and my brothers since we were little. Many of you have probably already had them, and they were very easy to vegeffy, so here ya go!
Spider Cookies
In one large bowl mix together:
6 tbsp of cocoa
a pinch of salt
1/2 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 cuprs rolled oats
1 cup coconut
In a pot (not heated quite yet) put together:
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup vegetable shortening (or vegan margaine)
1 tbsp vegan margarine
1/2 cup soy milk - regular, vanilla or chocolate!!! ( i prefer vanilla, it makes them more fudgy tasting...)
Mix the ingrediants in the pot over medium heat until everything i melted and it is brought to a boil.
Now, pour the melted yummy into the big bowl with the other ingrediants and mix it up good with a spoon. (becareful, its very hot!!!)
After its all mixed up drop spoonefuls onto waxed paper. Let them cool until they are firm, and then gorge!!!!
Sounds scrummy! Judging by your pic you must have a high metabolic rate or lots of brothers who guzzle biscuits rapidly! :D
Ha, maybe. i dont make them alot tho, and i always make them when i know freinds are coming over because they like to steal my food. Plus, yes, i do have brothers who gobble them all up!
Hi there,
first let me introduce myself;I'm a spanish girl born and raised in Germany and I've been a vegan now for about 3 years. You people overseas (especially the u.s. )are so lucky! There's so much yummy vegan stuff in the shops ....it's incredible (I've been to New York once and I couldn't believe my eyes!
You should see what shops looks like in Germany....time to weep!
Anyways, does anybody of you know a nice little recipe for "oreos" (newman's are of corse not available here) or milky way?
You would make a little sweettooth in good old Germany very happy!
I'm not a very good cook when it comes to sweets, cakes etc, so I've been working on an EASY recipe for a healthy snack bar. I'm very pleased with my latest effort so here it is.

You need a food mixer (with blade), a flat baking dish (approx 8 inch), baking parchment and a hot oven. Plus:
Approx 8 medijool dates (remove the stones and cut in half)
1 Apple (cut into large pieces)
1 cup raisins
1 1/2 cup porridge oats
1/2 cup ground almonds
1 tsp ground cinamon
2 tsp lemon juice
1 tbsp thick vegan spread ( I use Pure Organic)
Cold water (approx 100ml)
Demerara sugar (for sprinkling on top)
Put all the ingredient except the oats into the mixer and chop until all nicely mixed. You may need to stop it and scrape from the sides occasionally. Do not chop/mix more than necessary as this will make the mixture too smooth. *It will be very thick and sticky at this point*
Then add the oats and briefly mix together so as not to overchop the oats
Then slowly mix whilst dribbling the water. Just enough until you have a thick cake-mix consistency.
Line the dish with baking parchment and spoon the mixture in. Spread it out to form a layer which should be about 2cm thick.
Sprinkle a thin coating of demerara sugar over the top.
Bake in oven at 180 / 200 degrees for approx 15 mins or until golden brown. Try not to burn it (like I did).
Cut into sections and cool on a mesh tray for 1 hour then store in an airtight tin.
